Rabeprazole Sodium belongs to the family of proton pump inhibitor (PPI). This drug is used to reduce stomach acid and is used for the treatment of gastro esophageal reflux disease. The combination of this salt with antibiotics helps in treating bacterial infections in the stomach. Some minor and temporary side effects like rash or itching, diarrhea, stomach upset, sore throat, headache, insomnia, etc. may occur. It is available in different strength enteric-coated tablets. One must consult it with a doctor in case of pregnancy or breast-feeding.
